Woman’s new cubicle mate is her adorable foster kitten

You may have heard of “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” but Danielle brought a special guest with her to her desk every day of the week. That honorary coworker was her foster kitten, Venus.

This was not the first time Danielle brought one of her little ones to work. “When my fosters are small and still need to be bottle fed, they generally come to work with me.”

But with Venus, Danielle had another reason for bringing the kitten to work with her. “It was very touch and go for the first few days,” said Danielle. “She was very fragile and very sick.”

While Danielle had been a foster mom to premature kittens before, Venus was the smallest kitten she had ever seen. “She was actually smaller than my computer mouse at work,” said Danielle.

As Venus got better, she got happier, but that did not stop her from letting her foster mom know when she was bored of being at work. “She definitely talked back the most at the office,” said Danielle.

With time, Venus became stronger and more confident in herself. “Fostering her was definitely a labor of love and definitely a reminder that sometimes things just need to cook a little more, develop a little longer,” said Danielle.

Danielle was excited about the next steps for Venus. “I would love to see her being spoiled in her next adoptive home and with a family that just can help grow that already amazing personality of hers,” said Danielle.
