While visiting a resort town in Romania, a tourist contacted Howl of a Dog about a stray dog she kept seeing on the street. What the tourist didn’t know was that she had been living in the alley for her entire life.

At the doctor, they found out the sweet girl had anaplasmosis and would need medicine. So, Howl of a Dog started her treatment, and one month later, Helen’s bloodwork results came back negative.
Thanks to the Howl of a Dog and the tourist, Helen began a new life after seven years of waiting. Some months after arriving at the shelter, a family adopted Helen into a home where she would be loved forever.
