I love watching dog tricks. My old dog, a miniature schnauzer, mastered sitting and shaking a paw. Other than that, nothing really stuck. Well, it’s not like we trained her to “Bark Like A Loon When The Intercom Buzzes.” That’s why I’m impressed watching people who do get their dogs to do a lot of fun and exciting things. Take a look at this video of a really intelligent pooch to see what I’m talking about.
We see a Yorkie Terrier named Misa who is VERY well trained. She does a lot of tricks that are far beyond the “Sit!”, “Shake!”, and “Roll Over!” territory. Her mommy is relentlessly positive with her the whole time. There’s not a hint of her being afraid of her mommy’s voice, since some people try to use intimidation to make their pets do their tricks. That’s not the case at all with this scenario.
A couple of months ago, I wrote about Misa. This is a different video, the tricks she does are not the same ones that we saw before. Here, she does things like walk through a kids tunnel, sit in a shoe, sleep under a blanket, pray on her mommy’s arm, and a lot of other things. The only similar one that I remember is her pushing a little grocery cart around. That’s toward the end, though.
This is a dog that is all of 31 weeks old. By the time that she’s a year old, I fully expect her to declare that she’s running for political office. Actually, she puts her time to better use by going to hospitals and entertaining patients with her tricks. That’s much more rewarding that being a politician, at least in my book. I’m looking forward to seeing what Misa cool things does in her subsequent videos.
