It is scientifically proven that videos of animals interacting with human babies are adorable. Most of the time, we see videos of cats or dogs getting along with little ones, but this video brings together otters and children.
At the beginning of their day, Kotaro and Hana, two sweet, domesticated otters, had no idea they would be having company that day. So, when they heard voices that did not belong to their parents, they immediately perked up.
After letting out a series of squeaks, the two otters pushed open their gate and went downstairs to investigate. They came to a sudden stop when a little boy poked his head around the corner.
Slowly, they walked down to the first floor and discovered that more than one boy had arrived at their home. Kotaro and Hana’s parents had invited their neighbor and the rest of her family over.
In addition to the boy, there was a new woman, a younger girl and a baby. Kotaro and Hana were intrigued by the boy, but they were fascinated by and scared of the baby.
Kotaro, who seemed to feel brave that day, would sink low and approach the baby. He and his sister exchanged a series of squeaks back and forth as if trying to figure out what this new, small creature might be.
As the children and the otters got a better feel for one another, they started playing together, and once the otters realized they were playing with children, they spent the rest of their time scooting around on their tummies. It does not get more adorable than that.
