There’s nothing is quite as refreshing as a dip in the pool. Humans aren’t the only ones who think this way – dogs do, too. Many animals enjoy going in the water.
Of course, Labradors are bred to love the water, and Teal the black lab follows her instincts into the water for a splish-splashing good time. Teal’s family describe her a fun-loving goofball who loves to be outside. As the weather got nicer, Teal’s family decided to get her a pool so she could cool off. They weren’t quite sure if she would like it or not.
Teal’s humans set up her pool in the back yard and filled it up. Then they stepped away to see what Teal would do. Being the curious dog she is, she soon ended up in the pool. She didn’t know she would love it so much. Her dad saw her hop in, so he ran to grab his camera to record her reaction.
Teal reclines back against the side of the pool so she can splash around in the water with her front paws. She just sits there splashing around, like a little kid in the pool for the first time.
As if she’s a bit embarrassed, she occasionally stops to look around to make sure no one’s watching her…
She then decides to work on her doggie paddling skills and quickly gets the hang of it. Even though the pool is only two or three feet deep, she has enough room to practice her swimming. Of course, she has to take the occasional break to sit on her back legs and splash around a few times. Variety is the spice of life – and so it Teal!
Her joy is infectious, and her dad laughs in the background. As the video as, Teal pauses on her hind legs and looks as if she is about to dive for the rock her dad tossed in earlier. What do you think she’s going to do next?
