It was a freezing 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit when Paw Squadron responded to an emergency call about a puppy. The rescuer had to work quickly to save her from the cold.
When they arrived, they started searching, following the puppy’s tracks through the wet snow. It took a while, but eventually, they heard the small dog crying underneath a dead plant.
She had been alone for a long time. For the past few weeks, residents had heard the little one whining. Even with the freezing weather and loneliness, the puppy was afraid of her rescuer, cowering against the fence as they approached.
Her rescuer was patient, letting her decide when she was ready to come closer. Finally, the patience paid off, and the rescuer took the pup back to the warm car for a snack.
They did not have a lot in the car, but they gave the starving pup everything they had. As the puppy curled up for a nap, the rescuer drove her to her new home.
Back at the shelter, Paw Squadron decided to shower the sweet dog. At first, the puppy was curious about the water, but then she decided she was scared of it.
Now that she was all clean, her journey to finding her forever home could now begin. But before that, she got to meet her new best friend, another adorable puppy.
